Jesus Wept

2010
April 20

Brothers-

Last Sunday (a week ago) I felt like God was going to give me a poem, and it was going to be called, "Jesus Wept." Last night in the EC He gave me the verses. Today I looked them all up to make certain i got the words right.

Jesus Wept

In the beginning the universe was formless and void,

And Jesus wept,

And God separated the light from the darkness,

And Jesus said, “I and the Father are one,”

And God created mankind in his own image,

And Jesus said, “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do,”

And Adam said, “This is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh,”

And Jesus said, “The Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost,”

And they knew that they were naked,

And God called to the man, “Where are you,”

And David said, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me,”

And those who went in front and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna!

And the Psalmist said, “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord,”

And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father…”

And David said, “Into Your hand I commit my spirit,”

And Thomas said, “Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails,”

And Jesus said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger,”

And Thomas said, “My Lord and my God,”

And Mary said, “May it be done to me according to your word,”

And Jesus said, “So that they may have my joy made full in themselves.”

And Jesus wept.

And God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good.
